Brittany has always been the one who asks why. Why do so many “natural” products still irritate the skin? Why are ingredient labels so complicated? Why isn’t skincare simple?
Her curiosity turned into late-night research sessions, ingredient testing, and learning the science behind plant-based skincare — how natural oils, butters, and botanicals support different skin types, from sensitive to oily to eczema-prone.
Brittany is the reason every product is thoughtfully formulated, backed by real research, and made with clean, honest ingredients. She’s not a doctor or dermatologist — she’s a problem-solver who refused to settle for products that didn’t work.
Nik
The Heart of the Brand
Nik is the creative soul who believes skincare should feel good, smell good, and do good — for people and the planet.
She’s the one who turned simple formulas into a full zero-waste mission: sustainable packaging, eco-friendly materials, and a brand that reflects kindness, simplicity, and responsibility.
Nik’s passion is why Zero Waste Simplified is more than skincare — it’s a lifestyle built around reducing waste, protecting the environment, and helping people feel confident in their skin.
Together, they built something bigger: every bar, every product, every batch made with clean ingredients, zero waste, real intention — and a whole lot of sisterly teamwork.
How we got here
Zero Waste Simplified begins
Founded as a Shopify side project selling three bar soaps and a bamboo toothbrush from a kitchen in the Midwest.
First 1,000 orders shipped plastic-free
Switched every mailer, fill, and tape to kraft paper and compostable alternatives. The 18% cost increase was worth it.
Expanded natural hair care line
Added shampoo bars, conditioner bars, and scalp oils from five new US makers. Hair care is now our fastest-growing category.
Shipping nationwide from Cleveland, OH
Moved fulfillment to a dedicated facility serving Cleveland, OH and every US state. Orders now arrive in 3-7 business days nationwide.
